GIANNI CAVICCHI
Advanced Sommelier, Beverage Director & Experience Curator
Gianni Cavicchi is a true jack-of-all-trades within the beverage and hospitality world. A certified advanced sommelier (WSET), he became one of the nation’s first professionals formally trained across wine, beer and cider, a foundation that informs his balanced, adventurous approach to tasting and teaching.
As beverage director for several major New York City restaurant groups, Gianni helped lead programs known for depth, discovery, and approachability. He was part of the award-winning team at Nice Matin that earned Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Grand Award,” the publication’s highest honor for an exceptional and meticulously curated wine list.
A passionate mixologist, Gianni has created more than 30 original cocktails and spritzes, playful, sensory-layered and rooted in classic technique. His work in both wine and spirits has led to consulting partnerships with brands and institutions including Sam Adams, Five Napkin Burger, LIC Beer Project, Doc’s Cider, VR World, Tour de France Group and the New York Botanical Garden, as well as numerous food and beverage festivals across New York and beyond.
For over a decade, he has produced private and corporate events throughout NYC, The Hamptons, Westchester, the North Fork, and now his home base of Kansas City. His expertise has been featured in The Washington Post, Financial Times of London, The New York Post, Men’s Journal, Cigar Aficionado, Men’s Health, The Daily Meal, Time Out NY, The New York Times, and many more.
Today, Gianni brings world-class hospitality straight into guests’ homes pairing deep knowledge with warmth, humor and a genuine love of helping people discover what they enjoy.

For more than a decade, Nico has been the heartbeat of private events across Kansas City - bartending and curating beverage experiences for weddings, graduations, pool parties, intimate dinners, holiday gatherings, bar and bat mitzvahs and every celebration in between.
Known for his friendly spirit and effortless connection with guests, he has built lasting relationships with event spaces and clients throughout the region. Nico blends technical skill with creativity, often describing himself as a “liquid chef.” Whether crafting bespoke cocktails, inventing playful twists on classics or collaborating with hosts to design a theme-driven menu, he brings an energy that makes every event feel personal and memorable.
Deeply rooted in Kansas City’s mixology community, Nico loves to innovate, experiment and bring people together through the craft of great drinks. At D@YP, he ensures every party feels elevated, but never pretentious, and always a good time.
